Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed suggestions he is interested in bringing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 21-year-old has reportedly been on Los Blancos’ radar after impressing in Serie A with the Italian giants, although Ancelotti has moved to dispel any notions of an impending move.
“Paul Pogba is a great footballer and can play anywhere but we are not interested in him at the moment,” said Ancelotti during his induction into the Italian Football Hall of Fame, whilst also commenting on Cristiano Ronaldo working under him at Real Madrid.
“I’ve coached many champions but surely Cristiano is the most effective of them all. No player before him has managed to average a goal a game,” he maintained.
