Emery: Rijeka Sevilla’s first final

Unai Emery emphasised the importance of Sevilla's Europa League encounter with Rijeka on Thursday. "It's our first final of the season."

The Andalucians have yet to secure qualification from Group G and head into the competition's final matchday knowing that they must avoid defeat to stay in with a shout of defending their title.

"It's not worth drawing at the Sanchez Pizjuan," the Coach told reporters.

"Here we have an obligation to go out and win the game and propose a high intensity level from the offset.

"We are well aware of Rijeka's good work and the draw we played out in Croatia. Tomorrow's a very special day. It's our first final.

"We have an advantage, but it doesn't exempt us from having plenty of respect for them. The team need the fans, and we appreciate them being with us.

"[Grzegorz] Krychowiak didn't train today, as he still had some discomfort.

"[Benoit] Tremoulinas trained today for the first time with the squad [since his injury] and had some good sensations, although we must wait until tomorrow.

"It's also good that [Vicente] Iborra has participated in a few training sessions recently.

"We don't see the match as pressure, but as an opportunity to grow and continue taking steps forward."
