Almeria Coach Francisco didn’t want to blame the heat or anything else for why his side lost at home to Athletic Bilbao.
Xabier Etxeita scored the game’s only goal to give Athletic their first win since August 30 in a match both bosses agreed was poor.
“It wasn’t a good game. There’s no excuses for the result. We haven’t created any clear chances,” he said, AS reports.
“I am responsible and we have work to do before we play Levante.
“A goalless draw would have been a fairer result but we were facing a desperate team. Without doing much they’ve got three points.”
