Sandro targeting debut goal

Barcelona forward Sandro is aiming to replicate his club experience with the Spain Under-21s and claim a debut goal.

Sandro was added to Albert Celades’ side when Barca teammate Munir El Haddadi was called into the senior side.

Having scored on his Barca debut against Villarreal, Sandro is hoping to do likewise for La Rojita and pointed to the goal against the Yellow Submarine as a moment that has given him confidence.

“I’m very happy to be here, for the trust they have placed in me and for the goal against Villarreal,” Marca reports Sandro as saying.

“I know Ruben Blanco, Unai Lopez and Munir, having played with them before.

“The truth is I’ve always been treated like any other player and I feel very comfortable here, with people who are very good people and incredible players.

“If I debut with a goal against Austria, even better. I see the senior team now and I’m very focused here.

“I hope I get the opportunity to debut against Austria and if I get a goal, even better.”
