Ivan Rakitic has spoken of his happiness at playing for Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi and Xavi Hernandez.
Rakitic made his Barca debut on Sunday, helping the Catalans to a 3-0 win over Elche.
He told a Croatian publication that Messi is as impressive in training as he is during a match, and believes he has a lot to learn from Xavi.
“Not only does he prove to be the best player in the world every day in training, Leo is also an accessible, excellent boy,” Marca reports Rakitic as saying.
“He lifts the locker room and has offered to help me.
“I don’t exaggerate when I say I can only learn [from Xavi]. I don’t need to emphasise what a good player he is.
“He’s a real captain, a leader.”
Rakitic also offered his thoughts regarding the Barca Coach, Luis Enrique, and his role in the team’s tactics.
“His ideas are clear. I fit perfectly and I like how we play,” Rakitic continued.
