Bayern target Javi Martinez replacement

Bayern Munich are set to target three Liga-based players as the look to replace the injured Javi Martinez.

The Spain international tore his cruciate ligament this week in the German Super Cup clash against Borussia Dortmund.

The former Athletic Bilbao man is set to be out for at least seven months, and as such, the Bavarians are in the market for a versatile defender.

Real Madrid pair Sami Khedira and Raphael Varane are on Pep Guardiola’s list, but Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin is thought to be the number one target.

Godin could be available for around €36m.
