Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti is understood to be against the decision to let Angel Di Maria leave for Paris Saint-Germain.
AS reports that Ancelotti has twice intervened to keep the Argentina international at Madrid – once last summer, when the decision was taken to allow Mesut Ozil to join Arsenal instead, and in January, when Di Maria fell afoul of the Santiago Bernabeu crowd and was about to go to Monaco.
But Di Maria is said to be unhappy at the club as he doesn’t feel fully appreciated by the Madrid hierarchy and is to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Ancelotti, however, sees Di Maria as a key part of his side and the 4-3-3 formation that he deployed last season and is concerned that the team will take a step back should the transfer go through.
