Morata eager to make Juve move

Alvaro Morata has spoken of his eagerness to leave Real Madrid for Juventus, with the transfer said to be close.

Marca report that the Serie A champions will pay €22m for the forward, with Morata signing a three-year deal worth €4m a year.

Madrid have the option of re-signing Morata for €30m in an arrangement similar to that of Dani Carvajal’s move to Bayer Leverkusen.

Morata has turned down offers from teams in Spain and abroad, including Villarreal and Wolfsburg, as Juventus were always his first choice when he decided to leave Santiago Bernabeu.

A medical should be held today and, assuming there are no problems, the deal will be wrapped up tomorrow.

“I’m looking forward to Turin,” Morata said. “I’m told it’s a nice city and I’m looking forward to being there.

“I haven’t spoken with Fernando [Llorente] but it’s always good to know someone when you get a new team.”
