Del Bosque ‘ready for 2016’

Vicente Del Bosque is said to be eager to start qualifying for Euro 2016 and is in no danger of leaving his post as Spain Coach.

Del Bosque’s future was in doubt after Spain’s disappointing World Cup, when the holders exited the tournament at the group stage after defeats to the Netherlands and Chile.

Mundo Deportivo reports however that he is in no danger of being sacked and the only way there would be a change would be if Del Bosque resigned, which he isn’t expected to do.

Del Bosque has the support of the RFEF President, Angel Villar, and the Sports Council, the governmental organisation responsible for support in the country, with Miguel Cardenal giving Del Bosque his personal support.

The Coach is understood to have pushed for the hiring of a new conduit between the players and the Coach, the position previously held by Fernando Hierro.

Jose Maria Claramunt is currently tasked with the former international’s duties but it’s said that while Claramunt has done a good job in some respects, he isn’t equipped for others.

Del Bosque is said to be ‘full of energy’ and ready for Euro 2016 qualification, with the next generation of La Roja expected to be involved.

MD claim that the national team’s young stars will be featured in a way they weren’t prior to the World Cup and the team will be regenerated ahead of the tournament in France in two years.
