Former Barcelona midfielder Gabri has revealed that his friend Luis Suarez would love to join the Blaugrana.
Reports in the Spanish Press on Monday claimed that the Liverpool striker had said yes to a move to Camp Nou.
And the 35-year-old, who played with the Uruguay international at Ajax, has insisted that his ex-teammate dreams of playing for Luis Enrique’s men.
“Luis Suarez has always wanted to play in the club and defend the Barcelona shirt,” he told Sport.
“He is a player who has always wanted to head here someday, so I would be very pleased [if he did].
“I also believe that the club would buy him. He would suit it well, he is very enthusiastic and would fit nicely in the club.
“The family of his wife are also in Barcelona.”
