Platini: Zidane good for Monaco

UEFA President Michel Platini believe Real Madrid assistant coach Zinidine Zidane would make a good appointment as Monaco Coach.

It was rumoured in the French Press that the principality club were considering approach Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant to take over from Claudio Ranieri next season.

“Putting Zidane on the bench at Monaco would be a good idea,” Platini is quoted as saying by AS.

“They are a club with means and resources.

“It’s been a year on the bench with Ancelotti for Madrid, so he is ready to train.

“If his goal is to Coach the France team, it’s best to start training a club.

“[Zidane] has a name and he’s smart. He’s going to be a very good Coach.”
