Ancelotti: Time to move on

Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti has called on his players to respond to their Clasico defeat to Barcelona when they play Sevilla tomorrow.

In the wake of Sunday’s controversial match, Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo both publicly criticised the performance of the referee but the Italian Coach said his players have done nothing wrong.

“The game with Sevilla is really, really important,” Ancelotti said.

“After a defeat it is important to react well. There is no time to think about what happened. It is more important to think about the game we are going to play than the game we just played.

“We played well on Sunday, we just paid for some errors, but the mentality of the team was good and we could have won it.

“Ramos and Ronaldo have not lacked respect for anyone. They gave their opinion, which I understand. I have also thought that referees make mistakes in every game, and nothing else.”
