Messi ‘angry’ after injury setback

Lionel Messi has revealed that he was ‘angry’ after suffering another injury that will keep him out for six to eight weeks.

The Barcelona man limped out of their 4-1 win over Real Betis last Sunday, and has since been told that he will miss the next two months with a muscle tear.

“I’m sad because I did not expect this,” he told Ole. “But I’m also angry because it is an injury that has happened to me straight after enough one.

“But there is nothing unusual about this. I am injured, but it’s not because I’ve changed anything.

“The injury has happened because it had to happen – you can say what you want, but that’s all it is.

“I’m just going to continue with the same plan that had been set up at the start of the season. Of course, the World Cup is at the end of the season, but that won’t change a thing.

“People say things without knowing the whole truth. My diet is the same as always. Things have been invented that aren’t true.”
