Sevilla have confirmed that Geoffrey Kondogbia’s contract with the club has been terminated and he will join Monaco.
Reports suggested earlier this week that the French side had paid the midfielder’s €20m release clause.
And the Andalucian side have revealed this evening that the young France international has left Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
“French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is history at Sevilla FC,” the statement sensationally read.
“The club will terminate his contract after his termination clause was invoked.
“The €20m collected will be deposited with the Football League shortly.
“He was absent from training this afternoon and has failed to speak with his teammates.”
