Barcelona have been handed a boost in preparations for the Supercopa de Espana with the return of Lionel Messi to training.
The Argentine suffered a bruised thigh during the Supercopa first leg at Atletico Madrid last week, which was enough to force him off at half-time of that game and to then completely sit out Barca’s Sunday evening League visit to Malaga.
Whilst reports had also suggested that the 26-year-old was a doubt for the decisive second leg with Atleti at Camp Nou this midweek, he has today handed the Catalans a boost.
The Argentine international, who yesterday was at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper working on recovering from his injury, has today been re-incorporated into the main group’s workout for Monday morning’s training session.
