Dani Alves has revealed that he has tried to persuade Thiago Silva to join him at Barcelona this summer.
The Paris Saint-Germain has been constantly linked with a move to the Blaugrana, and even admitted to talking with Tito Vilanova last week.
And the full-back has conceded that the former Milan man is exactly the sort of player they need.
“We need to empower the squad for all the competitions we have to play,” he told Radio Montecarlo.
“If he joined he would come to the best team in the world.
“I've described the club to him, what he would find here and the advantages of Barcelona.”
