Barcelona’s Lionel Messi will undergo tests on Monday to ascertain the extent of any damage done to his right hamstring yesterday.
The Argentine was withdrawn from play midway through the second half of Barca’s eventual 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid on Sunday evening complaining of pain in his right hamstring muscle.
With it suspected that he has re-injured the muscle, which has troubled him since first tearing it at the start of April, speculation is that he may miss the final three matches of the season.
Barcelona have confirmed that the 25-year-old, whose withdrawal after all three substitutions saw them finish the game with 10 men at the Vicente Calderon, will be tested on the injury during Monday.
