Juve director: We admire Alexis

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has reflected that the club ‘admire’ Alexis Sanchez, but refuses comment on speculation around the Barcelona man.

Juve and Serie A rivals Inter have in particular been linked with making a move for the Chilean forward in this coming transfer window.

The Bianconeri’s chief of transfer operations was quizzed this week about this, as well as their links with Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben.

“They are two very good players,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“Robben is playing with great authority and with great ability in a club that is certainly the best in Europe at this time.

“Meanwhile, Sanchez is at Barcelona and he cost them an extremely important fee and I think he’ll remain there.

“I’m glad that there are these links, but I really do not have anything else to say about them apart from the fact that I admire these two talents.”
