Simao: Next two games are must-win

Espanyol midfielder Simao Sabrosa has claimed that the team have to win their next two games if they want to avoid relegation.

The Periquitos host Celta Vigo on Saturday and Mallorca next Friday, and the Portuguese winger believes that they are must-win games if they want to stay in La Liga.

“We have to be motivated and get out of this situation,” he told a Press conference. “These next two games are crucial for us.

“Both teams are ones that will be near us come the end of the season, so we have to get six points.

“The most important thing is to get clean sheets in both matches, and then from there, we can grow. If we win these, we can get more and more confidence and go on a run.”

The 33-year-old then commented on new boss Javier Aguirre and his relationship with former Coach Mauricio Pochettino.

“I had no problems with Pochettino, and I feel good working with Aguirre. I want to train hard and help my teammates.

“I've always been quiet. I just want to be a major player for the club.”
