Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets has been handed a two-game ban for his dismissal in the Champions League match with Benfica.
The Spanish international midfielder was dismissed for violent conduct by Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir for an aggressive 88th-minute challenge on Benfica captain Maxi Ferreira.
It means the 24-year-old will now miss the Champions League Group G games with Celtic on October 23 and November 7 if he decides not to appeal against the violent conduct ruling within the next three days.
