Arsenal have confirmed that Lucas Perez has completed his move to North London from Deportivo La Coruña.
The 27-year-old scored 17 goals in La Liga last season for the Galicia club, while he also found the net on the opening day of this campaign against Eibar.
“He’s not only a goalscorer, he’s a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs,” manager Arsene Wenger told Arsenal’s official website.
“He’s got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year.”
Perez has signed for a reported €20m, though it is yet to be confirmed what squad number he will wear at his new club.
The Gunners are expected to confirm another signing from La Liga in the near future – Valencia’s Shkodran Mustafi.
