Doyen own seven at Sevilla?

Sports investment firm Doyen Group currently indicate that they own percentage shares in a number of Sevilla players.

With Sevilla in financial difficulty and having to service a €50m debt, transfer signings made in the past 14 months have, according to Estadio Deportivo and Doyen Group’s own website, been financed by the investment group.

Deals for Baba Diawara, Alberto Botia, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Miroslav Stevanovic are all understood to definitely have been part-funded by Doyen, who are seen as having bought 50 per cent shares in each player, in exchange for fronting up half the transfer fee.

Meanwhile, the group are speculated as having also purchased shares in Jose Antonio Reyes, Alvaro Negredo and Manu del Moral, as the trio are listed as such on their official website.

Doyen Group confirm on their website that they hold ownership in these seven Sevilla players, as well as a further 15 players across different Leagues and teams, including Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao and Real Madrid’s Pedro Leon, on loan at Getafe.
