Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann has confirmed he will not celebrate if he scores against former club Atletico Madrid tonight.
The French international returns to the Wanda Metropolitano for the first time since his controversial €120M move to the Camp Nou ahead of the 2019-20 season.
The former Real Sociedad man is expected to recieve a hostile reception from the home fans in their crunch La Liga clash, despite calls from Atletico manager Diego Simeone and skipper Koke for supporters to respect Griezmann.
Griezmann confirmed in an interview with Barca TV, reported in Mundo Deportivo, that he will not react if he scores in Madrid, out of reverence for his former side and their fans.
The 28-year old struggled against Simeone's side during his time at the Anoeta Stadium, with just one win from eight, and no goals against Los Rojiblancos.
