Barcelona v Slavia Prague Champions League game ‘high risk’

The upcoming Champions League clash between Barcelona and Slavia Prague at the Camp Nou has been labelled ‘high risk’ by the antiviolence commission.

The Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport has agreed to declare that the clash falls into the high risk category, as outlined by Diario AS.

The clash will take place on Tuesday 5 November and will be the fourth matchday of the Champions League group stage, with Barcelona currently well placed to progress through to the Round of 16 stage.

Indeed, Ernesto Valverde’s side could virtually clinch their place in the knockout stages with a victory in the match – which would place them on 10 points from their opening four matchdays.

The Blaugrana would still have to visit Inter and host Borussia Dortmund in what is regarded as one of the toughest groups in the competition.

Barca edged out Slavia 2-1 a fortnight prior to this in the Czech capital, in a game where the hosts were superior for large parts.
