Marc Ter Stegen demands Barcelona improvement following Slavia Prague win

Marc Ter Stegen has called on his Barcelona team mates to improve their Champions League form, after an inconsistent 2-1 win over Slavia Prague.

Ernesto Valverde's side struggled to maintain an attacking threat against the Czech Republic side, with a Lionel Messi goal and an own goal sealing the win for the visitors.

With La Blaugrana unable to make inroads against their organised hosts, the German international believes more is needed from the squad, if they want to win silverware at the end of the campaign.

"We did not reach the level we wanted to tonight.

"Luckily we have secured all three points, and that is the most important thing for the team.

"Despite winning the game. there are still things we need to work on in future games.

"It is something we need to look at ourselves in future, and we will talk about it in the coming weeks.

"I do the best I can for the team, and we will look to move forward from here."

Barcelona face a home leg against Slavia Prague in a fortnight, where a win is set to secure their successful progess into the Champions League last 16 stage, before the winter break.
