Marcelo back for Real Madrid action

Marcelo has returned to first-team training ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League group game against Club Brugge.

The Brazilian international has missed the last four games with Los Blancos due to a hamstring injury he picked up in training but he is now poised to return.

Marcelo had been replaced initially by summer signing Ferland Mendy, who is now himself injured, with Nacho Fernandez then starting Saturday’s scoreless Madrid derby against Atletico.

Mendy and Marco Asensio are now said by Marca to be the only first-team absentees for Zinedine Zidane’s side ahead of their second group game of the European campaign.

Luka Modric has missed a sizeable chunk of the season due to injury, made a return from the substitutes bench against Diego Simeone's side is also set to return to the starting XI.

Spanish international Isco also completed a full training session, and Zidane is set to recall his to the match day squad.
