La Liga president Javier Tebas hopes Barcelona do no re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain: “He is not a good example.”
The Brazilian star has been heavily linked with a return to Camp Nou this summer, but he has been criticised in the France capital for his work ethic and supposed behaviour away from the pitch.
“I prefer that Neymar does not come to La Liga because he is not a good example,” Tebas told Onda Cero, in quotes cited by Marca.
“If he behaves better…he can be a great player, but the behaviour is also very important in the values we transmit as a competition.
“In La Liga we always want to bring great players, but in the case of Neymar that behaviour is not good for the competition because in the end the news is whether the player has done this or that.
“We have worked a lot in La Liga to maintain our values and not we want to change the image.”
Neymar joined PSG in a world record €222m deal in 2017.
