Keylor Navas wants Real Madrid pay off

Real Madrid goal keeper Keylor Navas wants the club to pay off the final two years of his contract before he considers a move away.

According to reports in Diario AS, the Costa Rican international has demanded that Los Blancos pay off the remainder of his current contract, estimated to be €5m per season.

However, the club's hierarchy are unwilling to sanction a pay out at this stage, preferring instead to wait for a buyer for the 32-year old.

Navas' reported demands have complicated the situation, as he is reported to have instructed his representatives to look for clubs willing to guarantee a starting place, a salary match with Real Madrid - and if possible an increase - as well as a three year deal.

Those requests have meant that interest from Portuguese duo Benfica and Sporting Lisbon has declined, unless his demands change - leaving Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain as the only available option.

The French side, who have released veteran goal keeper Gianluigi Buffon, are in the market for a replacement and have agreed to match Navas' demands.

However they are not willing to pay a fee for him - given his significant personal requirements - but Real Madrid are determined to hold out for a fee.
