Barcelona target Valencia duo Dani Parejo, Rodrigo

Barcelona want to sign Valencia captain Dani Parejo and striker Rodrigo Moreno this summer, according to Super Deporte.

The Valencia-based outlet claims the Blaugrana want a double swoop for the players who were instrumental in the Copa del Rey final victory over Ernesto Valverde’s side.

Central midfielder Parejo has a release clause of €50m at the Mestalla and is supposedly a target at the behest of Valverde, who views him as the perfect alternative to Sergio Busquets.

The future of striker Rodrigo has been much more open in recent months and despite his contract containing a €120m release clause, it is unlikely that Los Che would hold out for such a windfall.

Spain international Rodrigo netted 17 goals this season – including in the Copa showpiece – as his fine form in front of goal continued, but his number of La Liga goals halved from the previous season (16 to eight).

Barca have often raided Valencia for players over recent years, including Paco Alcacer, Andre Gomes and Jeremy Mathieu from the Mestalla.
