Diario Sport: Barcelona players don’t want Griezmann

Catalan newspaper Diario Sport believe that a move for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann would not be welcomed by the FC Barcelona squad.

According to their exclusive story, which quotes a 'source close to the club', the French international is viewed as 'persona non grata' by certain members of the Catalan first team squad.

The issue is reported to be concerns over Griezmann's commitment to the side, if he were to move to the Camp Nou, after his protracted move to Catalonia fell apart last summer.

The 28-year old eventually opted to remain at the Wanda Metropolitano, and sign a new deal with Diego Simeone's side, however he has no declared that he wishes to leave this summer.

Neither side has confirmed a deal, however Ernesto Valverde's side reported to be willing to meet Griezmann's €120m release clause at Atletico Madrid .

The uncertainty over a move for the former Real Sociedad man is also felt by supporters, with a Diario Sport poll in midweek finding 67% of La Blaugrana fans against a move for him.
