Marcelo holds Real Madrid crisis meeting on club future

Marcelo held an hour-long meeting over his future at Real Madrid with sporting director Jose Angel Sanchez on Monday, Cadena Cope reports.

The Brazilian international is said to be ‘deeply disappointed’ with his current situation at the club and believes he will be leaving Madrid this summer.

The 30-year-old joined Madrid 12 years ago from Fluminense and has made 476 first-team appearances for Los Blancos, winning 20 trophies in the process.

The left-back has come under fire for his performances this season including a 2-1 loss at home to Girona on Sunday, with 22-year-old Sergio Reguilon often preferred in the starting line-up.
