Former Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco set for Europe return

Former Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco, currently at Chinese club Dalian Yifang, is set for a return to European football, claim reports.

Sky Italia have claimed Italian giants Milan alongside English duo Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in a deal for the China-based player.

Last week, a report in Italian outlet Corriere della Sera claims the Belgian winger is the latest player to emerge on the Rossoneri’s list of transfer targets following a number of failed pursuits elsewhere.

Cesc Fabregas, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Luis Muriel – who joined Fiorentina on loan from Sevilla – had all been linked with a move to the Milanese giants this month.

The 25-year-old, who moved to the Chinese Super League a year ago, is said to be open to the idea of a return to European football to advance his career.

Carrasco joined Atleti from Monaco in the summer of 2015 and netted 23 goals in 124 appearances for Diego Simeone’s side, including in the 2016 Champions League final.
