Barcelona secured their first silverware of the season on Sunday, coming back from behind to beat Sevilla 2-1 in the Supercopa.

Pablo Sarabia made history by scoring the first-ever goal awarded by VAR in Spanish football, but Ousmane Dembele's golazo and Marc-Andre ter Stegen's penalty save earned Barca their 13th Supercopa victory.
Lionel Messi began life as Barca captain against Sevilla, while Arthur and Clement Lenglet made their debuts, the latter facing his former club.
Rafinha also started for the first time under Ernesto Valverde, while Dembele looked to light up the left wing, less than a month after helping France win the World Cup.
As for Sevilla, new boss Pablo Machin handed out debuts to goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik and centre-back Sergi Gomez, but former Blaugrana man Aleix Vidal was only a substitute, as was striker Andre Silva, who arrived from Milan on Saturday.
The Catalans had won four of their last six Super Cup fixtures against the Andalusians, who in turn had not beaten last season’s double winners away from Camp Nou since January 2010.
This was also the first Supercopa to be played over a single match, away from Spain – in the Moroccan city of Tangier – and with VAR.
Sevilla were rewarded for their early enthusiasm when Sarabia finished with aplomb from a through ball, although VAR needed to confirm the goal, despite the winger well level.
However, Barca began to dominate and after Lenglet sent a free header over, Messi’s free kick was tipped on to the post by Vaclik slid home by Pique.
Pablo Machin’s side almost regained their lead, only for Ter Stegen to push away Luis Muriel’s snapshot and Franco Vazquez to clip the bar with his flicked header.
Yet as it looked like the game was heading for extra-time, Dembele unleashed a thunderbolt into Vaclik’s top-left corner.
Sevilla should’ve equalised right at the death, when Ter Stegen obstructed former teammate Aleix Vidal in the box, but the goalkeeper easily saved Wissam Ben Yedder’s limp penalty.
Next up for the Andalusians is the return leg of their Europa League third-round qualifier against Lithuanian club Zalgiris, while Barca have one more friendly against Boca Juniors before their Liga opener against Alaves.
