Barca ‘agree Adrien Rabiot personal terms’

Barcelona have agreed personal terms for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to fresh reports in the Spanish press.

El Mundo Deportivo stated last week that Barca general manager Pep Segura and technical secretary Eric Abidal have met with PSG officials over a potential deal.

Diario Sport now say the Blaugrana have agreed personal terms with the Frenchman and suggest the French champions would sanction a deal at around €40m.

Rabiot’s contract expires next summer and this has given hope to the Spanish champions that a value deal can be struck this summer for a player for whom they’ve had a long-standing interest.

A report in France Football earlier this month said Abidal had met with the player’s mother to discuss a potential deal, while the El Mundo Deportivo printed an image of the Barca duo in the Paris airport.

It was previously reported that PSG owner Nasser Al Khelaifi is reportedly still confident of a renewal for the 23-year-old, who was excluded from France’s World Cup squad this summer.
