Atletico ‘reach Kalinic agreement’

Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for Milan striker Nikola Kalinic which will start a domino affect in the transfer market, say reports.

The Croatian striker joining Atleti will free Kevin Gameiro to join Valencia which then allows Los Che to sanction Simone Zaza’s exit to the Rossoneri.

Kalinic, 30, joined the Rossoneri from Fiorentina last summer in a deal worth a reported €29m but managed just six goals in 31 Serie A appearances and the report says his representatives are aiming to structure a move to Spain.

Sportitalia now say Los Rojiblancos have reached an agreement with the player in the region of €3m per year.

Kalinic, who scored 32 goals in 68 appearances for the Viola, was also wanted by Sevilla this summer but it appears he has chosen to join Atleti.

The striker was sent home early from Croatia's World Cup campaign for allegedly not being prepared to come from the substitutes bench during a group stage match.
