Madrid eye world-record Mbappe?

Real Madrid have agreed a world record €272m deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, according to a sensational report.

French media outlet Baptiste Ripart – who also reported Antoine Griezmann would renew with Atletico Madrid and Thomas Lemar joining Los Rojiblancos – carry the news.

The report states any potential deal – which would break the world record the Parisians paid for Neymar last season by €50m – would be paid in four instalments.

Mbappe only joined PSG last summer from Monaco on an initial loan deal which had a potential total value of €170m, with the deal becoming permanent this summer.

The teenager netted 21 goals in 44 appearances last season and has enjoyed a fantastic World Cup, netting three goals so far including two in France’s 4-3 victory over Argentina.

Mbappe was heavily linked with a move to Madrid last summer before his switch to the Parc des Princes.
