Ernesto Valverde believes his Barcelona side deserve more credit for being undefeated in La Liga and holding an 11-point advantage.
The Blaugrana Coach believes his side possessing such a massive points advantage has devalued their achievements in the league this season.
“If there was only a point between the top two, the winners would be given a lot more value for a title,” Valverde told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“So yes, I think it is something to do with the position we are in and the lead we have, but we prefer not to focus on this.
“The important thing is to win the league but if we can do so without losing then that would be fantastic, as no side has done that before.
“But equally that shows how difficult it is and we still have a lot more work to do before we can start to think about that.
“The double is exciting too and we have a chance of doing that, but we must always remember that as things stand, we have done nothing yet.
“Celta will be tough, especially because (Celta Coach, Juan Carlos) Unzue knows our players and he knows how to do damage to this team, which will be an advantage for them.
“Our recent record at that stadium is not on my mind although I am aware of them, but they were very good in home games against Sevilla and Real Madrid this season, and us in the Copa.”
