Hazard wants Madrid, says father

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has rejected a contract extension at Stamford Bridge in the hope of a future move to Real Madrid, states his father.

Thierry Hazard – who’s other son Thorgan plays for Borussia Monchengladbach –spoke of the 26-year-old’s desire of a future move to the Bernabeu.

“It’s true that Eden has rejected the opportunity to extend his contract at Chelsea,” his father told Belgian newspaper Le Soir, as cited by Diario AS.

“He wants to be in a position where he could deal with any potential interest from Real Madrid, a club that he is fond of but at this point, there has been no contract whatsoever.”

The Belgian international has won two Premier League titles with Chelsea since joining the club in the summer of 2012.
