Navas CONCACAF Player of the Year

Real Madrid goalkeeper and Costa Rica international Keylor Navas has been named as CONCACAF male player of the year for the second time in his career.

The 31-year-old, who was influential in his nation’s qualification for next summer’s World Cup, also won the award in 2014 while he won CONCACAF Goalkeeper of the Year last year.

“I want to thank you all for voting for me in this award,” Navas said in a recorded video.

“This thank you is from the bottom of my heart for those people that voted for me. I am very grateful as this award is a big motivation for me and my career, it fills me with pride.”

Navas beat PSV Eindhoven winger and Mexico international Hirving Lozano to the award.
