Preview: Eibar-Depor

Sunday’s early kick-off at Ipurua sees Eibar and Deportivo La Coruna lock horns, with a victory moving the winners clear of the relegation zone in La Liga.

Eibar boss Jose Luis Mendilibar on the importance of a victory: “It’s a game between two teams that are near the bottom and finding it hard to win.

“It’s an important match because the team that win will become stronger. It’s a game in our mini-League and at the end of the season, [survival] will depend a lot on winning these games.

“We want to win in order to stop the bad run that we’re on.”

Depor boss Pepe Mel on dealing with pressure: “Our last game has nothing to do with this one.

“But if you have a stressful week and it makes you perform like we did against Getafe, we welcome that pressure.

“I want the team to play at that level. We have to demand a lot of ourselves.

“These players have shown that they can respond in extreme situations. Now we have to show it while we still have time.”
