Gerard Pique has warned Barcelona that “we can’t win the League playing like this” after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad.
Barca were considered hugely fortunate to have escaped Anoeta with a point as La Real had significantly more possession and shots in the match, prompting Pique to remind his teammates that they had to buck their ideas up quickly, with the Clasico less than a week away.
“We can’t win the League playing like this,” the defender said after the game.
“At least we haven’t lost and earned a point, although it’s true that we’ve fallen two more points behind the leaders.
“They were superior to us in game and attitude. In the first half, we didn’t play well and we improved somewhat in the second, but it’s very difficult to win the League playing like this.
“I rarely say this, but we have to take the draw as a positive. My injury? I’ll be ready for Saturday.”
