Valencia boss Mauricio Pellegrino admits it is a relief for his side to be playing three of their next four games at home.
Los Che have the worst away record in La Liga with five losses and two draws to date.
“Games give you three points, whether home or away, but seeing how our season has developed we are certainly more regular at home,” the 41-year-old commented whilst fulfilling his media duties ahead of tomorrow’s Mestalla clash with Real Sociedad.
“Sociedad are very compact, they play well with great speed up front. Although they are not on a great run, they have had positive results.”
Pellegrino is keen to excise the 4-0 loss to Malaga last weekend from his player’s memories.
“We must forget the past, thinking about tomorrow’s game and looking ahead. I am responsible for what happens with the team.”
He was then asked about a reported bust up between midfielders Sofiane Feghouli and Fernando Gago during the Malaga game, and explained why Ever Banega had only been given a financial penalty for his outburst when substituted.
“There was a discussion at half time, as happens often between peers. The players have spoken and clarified the issue and it is nothing serious.”
“[Being without Banega] would deplete the team, and the team is above personal situations.”
