Messi: I’m not a little dictator

Lionel Messi insists that despite accusations he is a ‘little dictator’ at Barcelona his teammates know him better than that.

The Argentine star has given an interview to Mundo Deportivo and Sport – not yet released – in which he speaks of almost everything concerning his life in football.

However, a few small snippets have already emerged, including Messi defending himself from accusations he rules the Barca dressing room.

“A small dictator? I don’t care what they say, my teammates know that I am not like that,” he is quoted as saying by AS, before commenting on the whether Brazilian youngster Neymar would fit in alongside him at the Camp Nou.

“Good players can always play together, the sooner the better.”

On Barcelona as a club and the city itself, Messi insists it is his home.

“It’s where I grew up, at this club and in this city.”
