Edin Terzic makes generous Jude Bellingham point after Champions League final

Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic hailed Jude Bellingham after losing to Real Madrid in the 2024 UEFA Champions League final.

Dortmund impressed in the first half at Wembley Stadium as Terzic’s charges played their underdog card perfectly in London.

However, the contest was to be a tale of missed chances, as the Bundesliga side were left to rue a handful of early openings.

As the tide turned after the break, Real Madrid showed their trademark ruthlessness late on, as Bellingham teed up Vinicius Junior for the clincher.

Bellingham has enjoyed a sensational first year in Madrid after being voted as the La Liga player of the season.

The England international netted 19 league goals from midfield, as Los Blancos secured the Spanish title, after he swapped Dortmund for Madrid last summer.

Terzic was full of praise for Bellingham with the club sharing an ongoing bond with their former talisman.

“When he left us I said the same thing I said to Erling Haaland – I was proud to be their manager”, Terzic said at full time.

“It’s his first Champions League win and it’s a proud moment for him. I know what Mark, Denise and Jobe are doing to get this success in the family. Congratulations to Jude.”

You probably wrote before you thought on that one.
