For months, it has looked likely that Real Betis would lose both of their first-choice left-backs at the end of the season. Juan Miranda is out of contract, while it is anticipated that Abner Vinicius will join Lyon – it would mean that two new additions for the position would be required in the summer.
However, there now appears to be a chance that Miranda does stay, despite an exit having looked nailed on. On Thursday, he told El Chiringuito that he would like to re-open contract talks with Betis in the coming weeks.
“Would I like to renew with Betis? Yes, man. We’ll see what happens.”
🚨 MIRANDA confirma que le GUSTARÍA RENOVAR con el BETIS:
💚 "Quiero quedarme. Nos veremos con el club pronto y se verá".

Miranda has been linked with several clubs across Europe over the last few months, among them Brighton and Benfica. He’s been a fine addition for Real Betis, although this season hasn’t gone particularly well – nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether his contract situation is re-visited at the end of the season.
