Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini to receive tempting offer at the end of the season

Real Betis have generally overachieved since Manuel Pellegrini took over the reins in 2020, despite often selling on their best players in recent summers. However this time it is the man overseeing operations that could be leaving the club.

The Chilean coach had a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia in the summer, but elected to stay in Seville, where he has become beloved by Betis fans. However if things go sour in the final two months of the season, and Betis miss out on European football, Pellegrini could move on, as per Diario AS.

Pellegrini is tied to the club until 2026 having signed a new deal last summer too. Last time they came for him, they were willing to pay his release clause too, and it is thought that they will be willing to offer him a job this summer too. If Betis do not find their way again, both parties may decide that it is the end of his cycle.

While only Betis and Pellegrini will know how much more they can give each other, most managers do not last as long he has, Los Verdiblancos will struggle to find a better manager on the market than the veteran. Pellegrini’s task has been anything but easy, and the sides that Betis have been competing against over the last three years have often been in much better financial shape.
