(Video) Alvaro Morata scores twice to put Spain in commanding lead over Iceland

Spain have taken a two-goal lead against Iceland this evening in their international friendly clash.

La Roja dominated from the off at Riazor but struggled to find the breakthrough against a solid Iceland side.

But they did eventually find a way through thanks to an excellent Alvaro Morata finish in the 36th minute.

The often criticised Juventus star pulled off a lovely front post dummy before slotting into the near post.

And he was on target again three minutes later when Spain were awarded a rather clear penalty.

Morata slotted home comfortably to double Spain’s lead, and Luis Enrique‘s men are well on their way to three points despite plenty of changes for this evening’s clash.

From Morata’s standpoint, the brace is a big boost as he looks to land a spot in La Roja’s World Cup squad later this year.
