MIkel Oyarzabal is not a new face – in fact he’s been a Real Sociedad regular for years now.
But his recent great spell of form for Spain and for his club have really brought him international attention, and he’s built a reputation as one of La Liga’s best.
Asked in his press conference today ahead of Spain’s next international fixture against France on Sunday about which of their stars he would sign, he had a clear answer.
Asked which of Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann scared him most in quotes picked up by Marca, he replied that they are all “great players… If I had to sign one, I would sign Mbappe. He’s a little ahead of the others because of his age. But any of the three would be a great signing for any team.”
It’s hard to argue with that. The other two are in their 30s, while Mbappe is still shockingly young.
Still, no matter the quality of this French side, they will have their work cut out in matching Spain in the Nations League final this weekend.
