Eden Hazard will miss Real Madrid’s Spanish Supercopa trip

Real Madrid midfielder Eden Hazard is set to miss next week's Spanish Supercopa game in Saudi Arabia.

The Belgian international has missed the last six weeks of action due to an ankle injury suffered in Los Blancos' Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain back in November 2019.

Manager Zinedine Zidane stated in his pre match press conference, ahead of the weekend clash with Getafe, that the former Chelsea man had suffered a minor setback in his recovery, and would now miss the trip to the Middle East.

Real Madrid get back to La Liga action against their city rivals, before flying to Saudi Arabia on January 6th, ahead of a semi final clash with Valencia at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

If they beat Albert Celades' side, Zidane' team will then face either Barcelona or Atletico Madrid in the final four days later.

Real Madrid do not have a great recent record in the competition, with just one win in the past six seasons, with three for Barcelona and one each for Atletico  and Athletic Bilbao.
