Atletico Madrid linked with Andrea Belotti in January transfer market

Atletico Madrid are considering a shock January move for Torino captain Andrea Belotti to bolster their attacking options.

Diego Simeone has been linked with a host of strikers from across Europe's top leagues, as they look to ease their goal scoring problems, and find cover for the injured Diego Costa.

Los Rojiblancos had been rumoured to be working on a deal for PSG star Edinson Cavani, however those rumours have cooled in recent weeks, and Simeone could turn his attention elsewhere.

According to reports on Italian football news website Calciomercato.com, the La Liga side are now willing to pay €35M to bring the Italian international to Spain next month.

Torino are reportedly not willing to accept any less than that for their star man, who is under contract at the club until 2022, but Atletico Madrid do have money to spend in the market.

The 25-year old burst on to the Serie A scene with 26 league goals in the 2016-17 season, and he already has 13 goals in 20 game in all competitions for Walter Mazzarri's side so far this season.
